The greatest era of cinema history went from1900 to 1930. This was the era of silent film. The Moving Picture Show celebrates this time in Sydney with an orchestra performing the original music, a sound effects man.1920 lollies, 1920 ads, all run by the wonderful pianist Bernard Walz.

Experience a 1920 night in the era of silent film. Charlie Chaplin in The Goldrush   The Gold Rush is Chaplin’s greatest and most ambitious silent film; it also was the longest and most expensive comedy film produced up to that time. The film contains many of Chaplin's most celebrated comedy sequences, including the boiling and eating of his boot, the dance of the rolls, and the teetering cabin Charles Chaplin made The Gold Rush out of the most unlikely sources for comedy.  There is also a short, Big Business with Laurel and Hardy plus all the extras that come with the show, sound effects, orchestra, piano and the original lollies for the silent pictures,Minties!
